📖 Mjolnir Poeto: A Haiku Series
At Fulmo Games Hub, we believe creativity can be a force for good — not just in games, but in the arts and literature as well.
In that spirit, one of our developers, Mr. Anand Manikutty, has authored a growing series of haiku books under the banner Mjolnir Poeto. Some titles are whimsical, others meditative — all are part of an experiment in language, expression, and accessibility.
Remarkably, the entire 2025 series was written while the author was still officially classified as an A1-level Esperanto learner. Seven books later, he’s still exploring new creative ground — a testament to how approachable constructed languages like Esperanto can be.
🌐 A Bigger Vision: From Poetry to Global Literacy
The Mjolnir Poeto series ties into a broader Fulmo initiative — a language-driven tech platform codenamed RALPH, which aims to promote literacy and learning through ConLangs (constructed languages). RALPH has already been presented to global researchers, including two Nobel Prize winners, and will soon be featured in a Panel Discussion Series.
📘 Featured Title: The Jewel in the Crown, New and Improved
Also available as La Juvelo en la Krono in Esperanto, this book playfully claims to be the crowning achievement of the series. The title is tongue-in-cheek, of course — it’s no better (or worse) than the rest. Like all Mjolnir Poeto titles, it blends quick composition with sincerity, poetry, and multilingual flair.
Among the most notable entries in the mjolnir_poeto series is The Jewel in the Crown, New and Improved—available in English, and as La Juvelo en la Krono in Esperanto. Despite its grandiose title, the book is very much in on the joke: the implication that this is the crowning achievement of the series is, of course, tongue-in-cheek. In truth, it’s no better—and no worse—than the others in the series. The ones with humorous titles, as well as the ones without humor in the title, also feature Esperanto or English haikus. They were all written quickly, with equal parts sincerity and lyricality.

While the poems center around Indian historical monuments, they’re equally a reflection on impermanence, fleeting memories, and the strange intersections of culture and code.
Proceeds from these books support RALPH, a literacy-focused technology initiative, as well as other educational ventures that align with Fulmo’s mission to create a more playful, thoughtful, and connected world.
In contrast, our more productivity-focused publication—The Ekzercado Method—is a for-profit offering focused on personal development through deep reading and reflection. It has been featured at respected venues including the IEEE Society, the ACM, and the Rotaract Club.
No matter the form, all Fulmo Books are rooted in the same spirit: a blend including art, intelligence, poetry and, potentially, humor. And, always, a quiet ambition to make things just a little better.

In mid-2025, I published The River of Slightly Better Heaven—a book of haiku that takes readers on a meandering poetic journey through India’s temples, palaces, rivers, and ruins. The title may sound like a surreal travel brochure, but that’s entirely intentional. These poems aim to offer just that: glimpses of places that feel one metaphor away from paradise—or, at the very least, slightly better than your average Tuesday.
As with other titles in the Mjolnir Poeto series, this book blends English prose and Esperanto verse. It was written while I was still an A1 learner of Esperanto, which may explain a few of the grammatical choices—but also highlights the beauty of constructed languages: anyone can learn, write, and create quickly. Even haiku. Even me.
The River of Slightly Better Heaven was not written to win literary awards. It was written quickly, with care, and in the spirit of playful experimentation. The real goal? To support RALPH, Fulmo’s homegrown literacy-focused technology platform. RALPH promotes reading, learning, and accessible language tools, and has managed to catch the attention of more than a few academics—including, somewhat to our surprise, two Nobel Prize winners.
So if you’re expecting a poetic masterwork which will win both the Pulitzer Prize and the Booker Prize, this may not be it. But if you’re looking for something heartfelt, curious, and slightly offbeat—something that supports a good cause and may even leave you with a smile—then you’re already halfway to that better heaven.

In 2024, I authored The Jewel In the Crown, New and Improved—a collection of haiku poetry inspired by India’s historical monuments.
While the title may suggest a literary gem, the truth is more modest: this book is no better (and no worse) than countless other haiku collections out there. The “New and Improved” bit? That’s mostly because it sounds funnier than “Rushed and Reasonable.”
Yes, there’s another book out there with the same name, by William Dalrymple and Anita Anand. But honestly, purchasing their book won’t change your life either. Much of the historical content they present is already available—free—on Wikipedia. Ours, by contrast, supports an actual cause and an actual technology to boot: all proceeds go to RALPH, a literacy-focused technology platform built to make a difference.
This collection—and others in the same Mjolnir Poeto series—was created quickly (often in a matter of hours), not for prizes or acclaim, but as part of an effort to raise money for educational initiatives. The books are earnest, poetic, and occasionally experimental. Yet another book was written in 2025 called "La Juvelo en La Krono: Nun Ecx Plie Plibonigita". You can use Google Translate to find out what the title and the subtitle mean in Esperanto.
For the record, The Jewel in the Crown has received a rating above 3 out of 5. In the startup world I come from, anything below a 4.5 would be considered failure. But for a book written in under four hours to support a charitable cause, I’ll gladly take the 3 and change.
This project blends my love for history, language, and mischief—with a dash of social impact thrown in. If it makes you smile, reflect, or donate to a good cause, then it's already done its job.
