From the marble serenity of the Taj Mahal to the sacred energy of Varanasi, each 17-syllable verse brings together history, emotion, and imagination. Written originally in the Esperanto language for A1 and A2 learners, the book also introduces a bold theory of artistic value, encouraging readers to reflect on how we perceive creativity itself.

Note on the Translation
Some readers—and a few would-be literary critics, including perhaps some aspiring to the hallowed pages of the New York Times—have misunderstood this edition, unaware that it is a translation of the original Esperanto version or of the larger aims of the mjolnir_poeto series. We warmly recommend reading the latest version of the book, La Juvelo en la Krono, Nun Ecx Plie Plibonigita, designed specifically for beginner Esperanto learners. It is more than a collection of poems: it's a cultural bridge, a teaching tool, and an aesthetically crafted introduction to Esperanto literature. It is not, however, available on Amazon, as of June 1 2025. (Update of June 16, 2025: this book is now available on Amazon.)
✨ Some of the poems in the Esperanto edition of one of the books in the series are being shared with members of the London Esperanto Club and members of Esperantisto Facebook Groups. Surely, you can trust Tutmondaj Esperantistoj ("Global Esperantists"), many of whom come from many different parts of the world. Given their global distribution, they are unlikely to possess any particular sort of bias.
The Esperanto version of a subsequent rewriting of some of the books have also been released. The new release of the book 'The Jewel in the Crown" is also called La Juvelo en La Krono, more or less - give or take a few characters, although something may yet be lost in translation (the latest book's name may be translated as "The Jewel in the Crown, Now Even Further Improved" but with the subtitle "a collection of poems with more haikus and even fewer regrets"). Another book entitled "Somera Meditado pri Hindaj Monumentoj" (translated as "Summer Meditation on India's Monuments") has also been released, and this represents a collection of Esperanto poetry meant for a bilingual audience. This latter comes with our strongest recommendation, especially for A1 and A2 learners. It is available here.
Transparency and Craft
In keeping with our values of openness and continuous improvement, sample poems and supporting documentation are available on our GitHub. See link below:

Earlier drafts of Mjolnir the Poet’s work (a.k.a. Mjolnir_poeto) may have shown flaws—but we believe in iterating toward excellence. This edition reflects substantial refinement, and future books in the Mjolnir Poeto series will continue to evolve and improve.
In summary, the Esperanto book "Somera Meditado pri Hindaj Monumentoj" comes with our strongest recommendation. We would never recommend a product in those terms unless it was really solid, and we give it our strongest recommendation because we believe that the book's quality speaks for itself.
A portion of the proceeds from this book support RALPH, a literacy technology initiative, and other educational projects. A small book with a big purpose. 🌟
[ Update of June 11, 2025: Another book with poems in Esperanto entitled "Alia Meditado pri Hindaj Monumentoj" (translated as "Another Meditation on India's Monuments") has also been released. This book of poems is also intended for an A1/A2 level audience. ]
